Philippe Pourreaux has been named president of the Concordia University Alumni Association for a term that extends until 2012.

As president, Pourreaux will help bolster the visibility of the Concordia University Alumni Association, foster greater collaboration between the Sir George Williams, Loyola and Concordia alumni associations, as well as strengthen faculty, geographic and affinity chapters.

Before assuming presidency, Pourreaux was vice-president of marketing and communication for the Concordia University Alumni Association.

Pourreaux holds a bachelor in commerce from Concordia and an MBA from HEC Montréal. He is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) and fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).

Outside the alumni association, Pourreaux is a senior analyst in strategy and business development at Bombardier Aerospace. In former positions, Pourreaux worked as a strategy consultant for Secor Consulting Inc. and assumed various roles in the treasury and financial markets division of the National Bank of Canada.

“We look forward to working with Philippe who, no doubt, will be an ongoing source of creative energy for both the alumni association and the university,” says Dominique McCaughey, Interim Vice-President, Advancement and Alumni Relations at Concordia. “We wish him the best of luck in this challenging new role.”
