President Judith Woodsworth is pleased to announce that Johanne Pelletier will be joining her office as Director of Administration, effective May 1, 2010.

Reporting to Dr. Woodsworth, Pelletier’s responsibilities will include supervising and managing the operational requirements of the President’s office, overseeing the flow of communications addressed to the President, and representing the President’s Office on various committees and working groups.

Pelletier draws upon a rich university experience, having served as Secretary-General and Director, Records/Information Management, at McGill. Prior to that, she was an Advisor, Information Management in Ontario’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Recreation. She holds an MA in Communications. She is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management’s Directors’ Education Program (DEP) and a certified corporate director (ICD.D/IAS.A).

“I am very pleased to welcome Johanne to her new position,” said President Woodsworth. “She has extensive experience in university affairs, and is enthusiastic and professional. She is known as a diligent, conscientious and collaborative colleague, with a proven record of providing support to senior university leadership. She will be a strong addition to the team.”

Pelletier replaces Sandra-Lynn Spina, who is retiring after a distinguished 33-year career at Concordia. Before becoming Director of Administration, Spina served as Director of Communications in University Advancement and Alumni Relations, prior to which she had been Director of Marketing Communications in University Communication Services. President Woodsworth and Chief of Staff Jonathan Levinson thank Spina for her significant contributions as Director of Administration in the Office of the President and as a longstanding, loyal member of the Concordia community.
