No more "Dreamers" in the U.S.
The Trump administration has announced it’s ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program – more commonly known as the "Dreamers" program. The measure allowed the undocumented children of immigrants who arrived in the United States illegally to remain in the country to work or pursue their education. Chedly Belkhodja, an expert on issues of inclusion and integration of immigrants, can analyse the impact of Trump’s move on the 800,000 people who have avoided deportation until now thanks to the provisions of the DACA program.
