Another post as part of our John Molson Graduate Experience series, a multi-part video series released throughout 2021 featuring many experience-centered, hands-on learning opportunities relevant to our graduate programs and students throughout different disciplines.

The John Molson MBA program provides a hands-on, real-world approach to developing strategy, leadership and business administration skills. In this video, Dave McKenzie describes one of the unique program features, the Community Service Initiative (CSI). A popular option among MBA students, CSI partners students with local and international community organizations to develop business plans and strategies to solve the organizations particular issues.

CSI students develop business consulting skills in a real-work setting, seizing the opportunity to share their expertise with non-profit and non-governmental organizations, all while contributing to community growth and support.

Through CSI’s partnership with the Canadian Trade Development Office, students also have access to international opportunities, working on consulting projects, completing market studies, and much more with small- and medium-size enterprises in developing countries.
