JMSB Dean Steve Harvey announced that Mehdi Farashahi has been appointed Interim Director, International Business.

Farashahi is an associate professor in the Department of Management and has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in the fields of strategy and international business at JMSB since 1999. He brings many years of experience in international business to his new role. He is one of the founders and the current chair of the Montreal Local/Global Research Group.

As interim director, Farashahi will report to the Associate Dean, Academic and Student Affairs, Undergraduate Programs, and will be responsible for all academic and administrative activities related to the International Business Program. Harvey asks that JMSB faculty and staff join him in wishing Farashahi all the best in his new role.

Farashahi replaces Arvind Jain who has served as the director since 2010. “I would like to thank Arvind for his many years of dedicated service to the program,” says Harvey. “During his tenure, he played a leading role in the growth and renewal of the major and minor in International Business.”
