Acts of Listening Lab goes on during the pandemic

October 4, 2020
|

After 7 months of listening, thinking, taking care, engaging and imagining, the Acts of Listening Lab (ALLab) is reopening its space and facilities to support the research of Restorative Justice as a portal for Oral History Performance. Collective safety is paramount to us, and therefore, for the time being, only a handful of community collaborators, students, practitioners and researchers will be accessing the Lab to participate in this research project. That being said, we are so happy to be back and look forward to sharing with you how this inquiry in performance evolves in informing our listening practices as academics, artists, and humans.

The Acts of Listening Lab (ALLab)

is a hub for research-creation on the transformative power of listening in the context of oral history performance. It brings together artists-researchers, communities, and activists from across disciplines and cultures interested in exploring alternative and creative ways of making life stories matter in the public sphere.
