Current and Former Film Production Students Accolades Update

It has been a busy time for Film Production students and alumni. The department would like to offer their congratulations to the following current and former students for their well-deserved awards and honors.

 

-Katerine Martineau's (2017) Waiting for Lou wins Best Live Action Student Short at the TIFF Canada's Top Ten Film Festival.

-Film production alumnus Jérémy Comte (2012) has won a Special Jury Award at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival for his short film Fauve. The film was co-produced by Evren Boisjoli (2012).

-Olivier Godin’s (2007) Waiting for April (En attendant avril), an “absurdist comedy” that “joyfully and radically does away with cinematic conventions...”, has been selected for the prestigious Berlin Critics' Week.

-Pascale Plante's (2011) Les Faux tatouages, will be screening at the 2018 Berlinale after a successful international premiere at Slamdance. Read the Hollywood Reporter review. The film is now playing locally at select theatres.

-Film Production alumn Daïchi Saïto (BFA 2005, MFA 2008) will be honored with a career retrospective at the Los Angeles Film Forum.
