Kanwal Syed, an alumna from the PhD program in Art History, earned the 2023 UC Berkeley South Asia Art & Architecture Dissertation Honorable Mentions.
Her doctoral thesis "ﮟﯿﺗرﻮﻋ رﺎﮔﺎﮩﻨﮔ ﻢھ (We Sinful Women) Urban Feminist Visuality in Contemporary Art and Feminist Movements in Pakistan After 9/11" can be found on the Spectrum Research Repository.
Dr. Kanwal Syed is currently Assistant Professor of Art History at the American University in Dubai.
