The Renée B. Fisher Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Simone de Beauvoir Institute (SdBI) to consolidate its Lillian Robinson Visiting Scholars Program. The Foundation had already helped establish the visiting scholars program in 2006, following the passing of then SdBI Principal, Dr. Lillian Robinson, and as a living memorial to her. Since the establishment of the program, the donations of the Renée B. Fisher Foundation have allowed the SdBI to create multiple opportunities for feminist scholars to come to Concordia to pursue and share their research. In total, 31 visiting scholars have been appointed and greatly contributed to the academic life of the SdBI. We extend our thanks to the Renée B. Fisher Foundation for its support.
