Prof. Pablo Gilabert Awarded 5-Year SSHRC Insight Grant

Professor of Philosophy Pablo Gilabert has been awarded a 5-Year Insight Grant by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) for the project "Work, Well-Being, and Social Justice."

The proposed research project focusses on the ethical aspects regarding access to work, its quality, and the justice of the social relations shaping it.  

Insight Grants support research excellence in the social sciences and humanities.

Prof. Pablo Gilabert is Undergraduate Program Director and Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Concordia University. His areas of specialization are social and political philosophy and ethics. Within these areas, his research and teaching interests include topics in social justice and human rights. He is the author of From Global Poverty to Global Equality: A Philosophical Exploration, Human Dignity and Human Rights, and the newly released Human Dignity and Social Justice (all published by Oxford University Press).
