Undergraduate Co-op student to assist CERMM research

Morgan Rowe, an undergraduate Co-op student began assisting Dr. Ritu Arora with her research at the start of June. Dr. Arora is a Horizon Post-Doctoral Fellow on the CERMM team. 

Morgan’s project is to conduct molecular modeling research on the electronic structure of small biologically-relevant molecules involved in nitric oxide transport in Hemoglobin. Before attempting this project, Morgan was trained to use the Gaussian software and some operating systems such as Linux. She is using the Gaussian software to model HSSNO directed towards a better understanding of the transition states between isomers.

In addition to conducting research, Morgan is assisting Dr. Denise Koch in revamping the CERMM website.
