Mubi: 350 Children Missing, 5 Military Commanders Detained

• Following the Boko Haram attack on Mubi in Adamawa State, about 350 children are missing.
• Because of the chaos, families were completely torn apart and many parents are still looking for their children, most of whom were in school when the attack took place and fled in different directions.

Mubi Attack: NEMA Records 10,496 IDPs in Five Camps in Yola

• Following recent attacks in the North East, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ASEMA) report 10,496 IDPs across five camps in Yola and Fufore.
• NEMA representatives say that the Federal Government is doing everything they can to stop the insurgency and to help those who have been displaced.
• Some of the relief items at the camps are rice, medicine, clothes, mattresses, soap, maize and more.

Boko Haram Recaptures Mubi, Kills Many Residents

• The town of Mubi, Adamawa State has been taken back by suspected Boko Haram insurgents, leading to the deaths of several people and the destruction of much of the town.
• The military and security operatives were unable to hold back the attack and were seen fleeing from the violence.
• Prior to this attack the insurgents had already taken over Mararaba Hildi and Uba LGA in Adamawa.

Civilian JTF Beheads 41 Boko Haram Fighters

• Forty one Boko Haram members were beheaded by members of Civilian JTF, a joint force of military men and vigilante group members, in the village of Gur, Borno State.
• Boko Haram insurgents had planned to attack Sabon Gari, where hundreds of IDP’s are returning to after three months of exile. Civilian JTF pursued the insurgents and repelled the attack, killing 41.
• To prove that they killed the 41 Boko Haram members, the youth vigilance members brought the severed heads to show to the public.

Boko Haram Kills 30 in Gombe Blast

• At least 30 people were killed, and many others injured, in a bomb blast at a bus station in Gombe, it is suspected that members of Boko Haram detonated the bomb.
• There are three people suspected to be the heads of the attack.

Boko Haram says Kidnapped Schoolgirls Married Off

• Boko Haram has released a video saying that the 219 kidnapped schoolgirls have been converted to Islam and have been married off. In the video, Boko Haram addresses claims that a ceasefire was agreed upon with the Federal Government.
• Abubakar Shekau one of the group’s leaders denies the claims that the Nigerian government made about a ceasefire and has ruled out future talks about releasing the girls.

Six killed as Gunmen Invade Village in Katsina

• Six people were killed by suspected cattle rustlers who invaded Shinfida village in Jibia LGA, Katsina State. Many houses, shops and vehicles were burned and cattle were stolen.
• Some youths tried to repel the attack but it took intervention by a special joint security force to curtail the attackers.

Boko Haram Attacks Kogi Prison, Frees All lnmates

• Suspected Boko Haram members broke into the Nigeria Prison yard in Koton-Karfe, Kogi State and released all of the inmates. This is the second time in two years the group has attacked the prison.
• The prison was originally built for 50 inmates but was holding 145 at the time of the attack.
• Insurgents stormed the prison around 10 pm when most of the guards were away from their posts.
