William Leal defends his MSc (December 14th, 2021)

Congratulations to William Leal who successfully defended his MSc thesis this week! He has become the Solar Energy Conversion Group's second MSc graduate. In a rare respite from online activities, William was able to defend his thesis in person at the Concordia Loyola campus. His work on converting electrochemically deposited calcium carbonate (found in seashells) to perovskites has explored the formation mechanisms of perovskite nanocrytals through in situ ion exchange.

Congratulations are also in order to Shaifa Rahman and Moren Varappiragasam who successfully presented their CHEM 419 projects! Both did an excellent job in an exciting Zoom session today with members of our Department.

Read more about William's work in an open access preprint on ChemRxiv.
