Brad Nelson, Classics, Modern Languages and Linguistics Chair at Concordia University, is pleased to invite you to attend an upcoming talk by Dr. Pablo Salinas of Shawnee State University on March 29, 2023, at 5:45pm in room MB S2.455.

Radio Newscasting as a Learning Tool for Learners of Spanish as a Second Language will demonstrate how to use in the classroom components of radio news broadcasting to place language students at the heart of the process of communication. The goal is to use current events as information pieces to simulate a radio news program whose content will be explained and explored in depth after its presentation.

Pablo Salinas is Associate Professor, and Director of Honors Program, in the English & Humanities Department of Shawnee State University. His research covers Spanish Language, Hispanic Cultures and Literatures.
