Meet our 2017 Mordecai Richler Writer in Residence

Matthew Forsythe, award-winning graphic artist, author and illustrator, has been named the Mordecai Richler Writer in Residence for 2017. His first children’s book, My Name Is Elizabeth! by Annika Dunklee, was named a 2011 New York Times Notable Children’s Book. He is also the author of the graphic novels, Jinchalo and 2011 Ojingogo (Drawn & Quarterly). His illustrations have appeared in many publications including the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Formerly the Lead Designer on the animated series Adventure Time on the Cartoon Network, he now lives in Montreal and has just completed illustrating a new book by Lemony Snicket, due out in Fall, 2017.

Matt will be on campus every Thursday from noon to 2 p.m to meet with students to talk about their work beginning Thursday, 19th January.
