Angelica Galante, an assistant professor in TESL/Applied Linguistics, has published two articles on plurilingual instruction. In Applied Linguistics Review, a study on the use of plurilingual tasks in university courses of English for Academic Purposes demonstrated that learners who completed plurilingual tasks showed heightened awareness and appreciation of their identity as plurilingual people who could creatively use different linguistic and cultural resources.

An open-access article in The Conversation outlines the importance of recognizing people’s plurilingual identities; in language education, this can be realized through plurilingual instruction.

Congratulations, Angelica!
