In a post for the Belonging, Identity, Language, Diversity research group, Assistant Professor Angelica Galante writes about observing her Brazilian mother Luzia’s translanguaging while visiting Montreal. Luzia’s use of all her linguistic resources to participate in daily activities is an example of translanguaging, a research area also of interest to Angelica Galante and students and faculty members in TESL/Applied Linguistics!
