Anthony Noce weighs in on Liberal bank tax promise

Anthony Noce, professor of Economics at Concordia University warns that the proposal to increase the corporate tax for large financial institutions by 3% would lead to unexpected side effects for consumers, likely leading to increased fees for some financial products, as well as slower raising wages for employees in the banking and insurance sectors. The generated revenue would only cover a fraction of government spending, making the promise not as appealing as it seems.
