Dr. Amir Locker-Biletzky, the 2016-17 Postdoctoral Fellow and current Affiliated Researcher at the Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies, has written a book which will be published this December with Suny Press. Dr. Biletzky began his work on the book titled, Holidays of the Revolution: Communist Identity in Israel, 1919-1965 while he was at the Institute back when he was a Postdoctoral Fellow.
The book shows how Israeli Communists developed a distinctive national identity outside the boundaries of Zionism.
