Boaz Neumann, winner of a J.I. Segal Award


The Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies is proud to announce the first winner of the Azrieli Institute Prize for Best Book in Israel Studies in English or French to Dr. Boaz Neumann. This award is made possible through the collaboration of the Institute and the Jewish Public Library (JPL).

Boaz Neumann, winner of a J.I. Segal Award

Dr. Neumann is a faculty member at Tel Aviv University in the faculty of humanities.  His main field of research is the history of modern Germany.  He also has an active interest in the history of Zionism, and in particular in the pioneering period of the early twentieth century. The award winning book is Land and Desire in Early Zionism.

The awards ceremony took place at the Jewish Public Library on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
