Join us for a community film screening of “The Pollinators”, a 2019 documentary directed by Peter Nelson. The film is a cinematic journey around the United States following migratory beekeepers and their truckloads of honeybees as they pollinate the flowers that become the fruits, nuts and vegetables we all eat. The many challenges the beekeepers and their bees face en route reveal flaws to our simplified chemically dependent agriculture system. We hear from farmers, scientists, chefs and academics along the way to give a broad perspective about the threats to bees, what it means to our food security and how we can improve it.

Bring your cozy blankets and snug scarves, and relax under the stars while learning about our little superheroes the pollinators!

In case of bad weather, the event will be moved indoors to the Loyola Chapel.

This event is part of Campus Sustainability Month at Concordia, a month-long series of events, activities, and giveaways.
