The presence of online workshops has grown exponentially since the pandemic. Many students and workers find themselves needing to create, organize, or lead online learning experiences. But where do we start?
In this workshop, you will create an outline for a workshop of your own.
Together, we will:
Identify a concept or framework you would like to teach so you can determine the scope of your workshop
Design activity prompts so students can practice applying it
Design reflection prompts so students can learn through iterative practice
By the end, you’ll have the first draft of your workshop outline. Not to mention, you’ll pick up tips from watching me facilitate (we call this "modelling" in learning design).
*Note from the facilitator: This will be an interactive Zoom session with cameras on and breakout rooms. That way you get real feedback and meet cool people. Don't worry if you're intimidated by big group sessions. It'll be a warm and welcoming vibe. I never put anyone on the spot, I promise.
