Conversation Café: From Chemist to Religion Scholar, A Spiritual and Academic Journey

Date & time
Tuesday, October 27, 2020
2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

This event is free

Dr. Magi Abdul-Masih began her career as a chemist until a life-changing incident found her asking questions that science couldn’t answer. Those questions led her to a Ph.D. in Theology, a career as a religion scholar, and an ongoing spiritual journey.

Sometimes we don’t have the answer. Sometimes we should change the path. Join us for a compelling story of spiritual and academic discovery across time and disciplines with our guest Dr. Magi Abdul-Masih.

Magi holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Toronto. She is passionate about the intersection of social justice and faith. She has written and researched topics such as liberation theology, religion and science, and religion in the Middle East.
