Speakers

Marilyn Briand

Marilyn Briand is the Talent Acquisition Manager at Ubisoft, specializing in diversity, inclusion, and neurodiversity advocacy. A dyslexic and ADHD leader, she combines personal experience with over 12 years of HR expertise to foster inclusive workplaces.

Melanie Brethour

Melanie Brethour is a resource teacher, certified structured literacy educator dedicated to supporting students with dyslexia and promoting neurodiversity. Inspired by her son’s journey with dyslexia, she advocates for early identification and effective interventions for all learners and founded Decoding Dyslexia Quebec.

Sarah Rahimi

Sarah Rahimi is a doctoral candidate in Business Administration, focusing on equity, diversity and inclusion, gender, leadership and dyslexia. Sarah’s research investigates how dyslexia influences leadership and whether women with dyslexia are more disadvantaged than men. It’s estimated that 15 to 20 per cent of the population have dyslexic symptoms, yet there’s limited research on adults with dyslexia. Investigating how this learning disability influences leadership potential is vital because learning is integral to leadership. Her research is funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture.

Ella Duval

Ella Duval is an educational consultant specializing in the inclusion of neuro-atypical students. She is currently completing a PHD in educational psychology between France and Canada on teacher training for the inclusion of students with ADHD.

Jean-Philippe Martineau

Jean-Philippe Martineau co-founded Auxo Growth Partner, a recruitment and HR agency, and recently joined Stay22 as their Talent Acquisition Partner. His ADHD motivated him to start his own company and ensures that people joining his company have the right setting for success.

Sophie Strassmann-Peña-Houbart

Sophie Strassmann-Peña-Houbart is the founder of Neurodivergent Upgrade. As a feminist and Queer woman, she brings a powerful intersectional perspective to the discussion on Indigenous neurodiversity and reconciliation in the workplace.
