We’ve heard it all before. Kids these days are more depressed, less social, and in need of more academic help. If only there was a way to help all these areas simultaneously… Enter: books.

Join us for a panel discussing the scientific discoveries associated with reading for pleasure. We now have decades of empirical evidence showing us that reading for pleasure is associated with greater social competence, linguistic skills, and mental health. We will have English Language Arts Consultants, Literacy Coaches, and Librarians on hand to give you activities to make reading for pleasure – well, pleasurable. Wondering what books are hot right now? We will also have a bookseller with us, to let us know the books that kids (and kids-at-heart) are clamoring to read!

How can you participate? Join us in person or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting or watching live on YouTube.
