In collaboration with a team of Concordia graduate researchers, Dr. Shauna Janssen, Concordia University Research Chair in Performative Urbanism, is leading an experimental research-creation residency. Over the course of five days the team will engage collectively—and publicly— with performance design as an inclusive body of critical urban spatial practices. Conceived as a transhemispheric studio, the residency brings together interdisciplinary artist-researchers, designers and scholars, located on four continents - North America, South America, Europe, and Oceania - working across the fields of Performance Studies, Design, Architecture and Scenography, Urbanism and Activism. Our open lab activities will take the form of remote and in situ a/synchronous salons, networking sessions, workshops, and live broadcasts.

The project is funded by a Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council Insight Development Grant, and the Concordia University Research Chair in Performative Urbanism.

Come by to view the residency's installation anytime between 10-6, Monday to Friday!
