A performative learning activity which models what happens in the creative brain when you are making new connections. It illustrates and mobilizes divergent thinking, a way to generate possibilities rather than solutions, ie. problem-finding as distinct from problem-solving. This involves open-ended outcomes, playing with ideas, finding novel and remote connections, or thinking of a context in which unrelated things come together. Sometimes the intersection of the implausible (things that are imagined or unreal) with the familiar creates unexpected insight.
This workshop activates part of Trish Osler's research, framed within the DART 499/631 CART 499 course, and is open to the public.
Safety/Covid Protocols: Participants will be masked and gloves and hand sanitizer will be available. There is a max capacity of 25 participants in the space.
