For the duration of the #4thSpaceReruns series, 4TH SPACE is bringing you a curated selection of live streams from engaging past events as part of CU at Home. Join us via our Facebook page every other Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. for a new #4thSpaceRerun!
In late 2019 and early 2020, the 4TH SPACE team visited the labs of five of Concordia’s synthetic biologists to get a behind-the-scenes view of their work and discuss the challenges and possibilities of this burgeoning field. The resulting conversations have been brought together in a single recording that highlights Concordia’s contributions to this rapidly developing and remarkably interdisciplinary area of research. Researchers interviewed for the program are:
Aashiq Kachroo, Department of Biology
Alisa Piekny, Department of Biology; Centre for Microscopy
David Kwan, Department of Biology
Christopher L. Brett, Department of Biology; Centre for Microscopy
Steve Shih, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
These lab visits were part of the Rethink, Recreate, Reinterpret programming from January 20 to February 21, 2020 at 4TH SPACE. Watch the rerun here, featuring a new intro by Kenza Samlali, a PhD candidate at Concordia’s Centre for Applied Synthetic Biology.
