Organizing public talks online with sex workers, those who provide services for them, and their allies, is new territory. Event organizers with lived experience in sex work and sex work activism are instinctively applying protocols learned at these jobs as a means of screening participants and assessing comfort and privacy concerns of speakers.

In this virtual conversation, Shauna Janssen and Alex Tigchelaar from the Institute for Urban Futures (IUF) will discuss the experience and struggle of applying "mixed protocols" in virtual event planning with marginalized communities, ahead of its first online conference on May 1, 2020, titled Sex Work in the Time of COVID-19: A Living Archive From the Communities Impacted.

Join the conversation by registering for our Zoom webinar or watching live on our Facebook page
