Queering The Map is a community-generated counter-mapping platform for LGBTQ2I+ moments, memories, and histories in relation to physical space, created by Lucas LaRochelle, a student in Concordia’s Department of Design and Computation Arts. In July 2019, 4TH SPACE hosted Queering the Map _ ON SITE, a public program that translated the virtual world of Queering The Map into a physical space. Developed in collaboration with the Beyond Museum Walls Curatorial Residency program created by the Curating and Public Scholarship Lab, this program included workshops, an exhibition, performances, and more.

This performance by Figgy Baby was part of the July 25, 2019 event “Spectrum: A Performance on Queerness and Freedom by Jose Richard Aviles and Figgy Baby.” Watch the rerun of Figgy Baby’s performance here, featuring a new intro by curator Lucas Larochelle.
