What factors contribute to the development and maintenance of anxiety disorders? How are these aspects studied in the laboratory? How do you translate these findings into treatments?

Researchers in the Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Laboratory use novel and innovative experimental approaches to manipulate a variety of psychological factors to assess their influence on aspects of fear and anxiety disorders. Their work has directly informed the development of treatment components to improve the effectiveness of cognitive-behaviour therapy, an evidence-based approach to treating psychological disorders.

Come to 4TH SPACE to engage with members of the Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Laboratory who will give you a hands-on demonstration of their day-to-day research process.
