Mindfulness is the practice of intentionally bringing one’s attention to the present moment (e.g., our feelings, thoughts, and sensations) with openness, gentleness, and non-judgement.

The Zen Dens invite you to join 30-minute mindfulness sessions as a space to slow down, settle your mind, and recharge as the busyness of the end of the term and final exams approach. Each session will involve a theme, a guided meditation, and an opportunity to share your experience.

You do not need prior experience to participate.

Register for an email reminder before the event, or drop-in on Zoom.

Learning objectives:

  • Describe what mindfulness is
  • Practice basic mindfulness skills to better navigate the end of the semester, including intentionally pausing, consciously relaxing, developing inner friendliness and stillness.
  • Practice with and benefit from being in community and share experiences with others, if desired
