Drop in to Vent over Tea, Fridays from 1 - 3 p.m. in the GM 300.22 Zen Den

Vent Over Tea is a free active listening service that allows you to speak your mind to a compassionate stranger. Conversations are confidential and there are no follow ups or strings attached.

A venting session provides:

  • An intentional or purposeful way of listening and responding to another person that improves mutual understanding
  • Whole and undivided attention free of distractions
  • Suspension of judgement or reaction
  • Includes reflective questions in order for you to gain deeper insight into your situation and come to your own conclusions
  • Empathic regard

Vent Over Tea does not offer counselling, psychotherapy or advice. They provide you with a listening ear and a safe space to vent. Volunteers are trained in active listening and can help you work through difficulties by guiding the conversation and asking reflective questions.
