Join the Recovery and Wellness Community Centre (RAWCC) and guide Trevor Hall for a virtual session of guided meditation!
Meditators will be guided through a soothing and awareness-driven body scan (also known as Yoga Nidra) with the intention of connecting to all aspects of their bodies; harmonizing mind, body, and soul. Participants will be guided to use breath, visualization, and focus techniques to encourage healing, and increased awareness of the present moment, and how they are situated in it. Meditators will then be given the help to visualize a serene, safe space within their minds...and the opportunity to connect with different parts of themselves through this process. This event is open to all types of meditators whether you are more experienced or have never meditated before. This space will be completely confidential, with honor and respect for all participants.
Please note that mediation can bring up powerful physical and mental experiences that may not always be pleasant, in the case that the experience becomes overwhelming participants are free to leave the meeting no questions asked, and are always invited to share with the group or guide once the meditation has been completed.
Trevor is in his final year at Concordia University studying Human Relations and Business Management. Meditation became a major part of Trevor's life in his search for radical self-love and transformative healing. Trevor has completed Jesse Israel's "The Big Quiet" meditation training and wishes to share his meditation skills with the world in hopes of creating collective healing while integrating useful techniques to cope in a constructive way. Trevor is avid of the outdoors, yoga, herbal medicine, music, cooking, all things creative art and simply spending quality time with loved ones.
