In this session, participants will be asked to bring their in-progress applications for a first round of peer-review and workshopping. Indigenous students who have been successful in obtaining SSHRC CGS-M funding and staff from the IFRC and OSC will be present to assist with questions.

The workshop will take place online and in-person.

About the workshop series

Indigenous students will learn about the process for applying to the Canada Graduate Scholarships Master's Program (CGS-M), specifically for the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

Supported by staff and faculty from the Indigenous Futures Research Centre (IFRC) and the Otsenhákta Student Centre (OSC), these workshops will be facilitated by Indigenous graduate students who have successfully obtained SSHRC CGS-M funding in the recent past. They will offer participants guidance, personal insight and tips for developing strong applications. Pending up-to-date health protocols, these sessions will be held in a hybrid manner.
