About the speakers

Professor Colin Price is Head of the Department of Environmental Studies at Tel Aviv University. He is a world known atmospheric physicist, specializing in the Earth’s weather and climate, with a focus on thunderstorms, climate change and natural hazards. Price is also the head of TAU’s Nano-satellite Center and was recently appointed head of the University’s new Climate Action Change Center, inaugurated in June 2021.

Dr. Ram Fishman's research is concerned with the broad issues of sustainable development, with particular emphasis on water scarcity and climate change in developing countries, global food security and sustainable agriculture. His research has a strong empirical field component, and is taking place in multiple locations in Africa and South Asia. He also directs the Nitsan Lab, which helps Israeli technologies in precision agriculture and water treatments to be technically and economically adapted to the requirements of low-income populations in developing countries.
