Looking to find a unique holiday gift while also supporting local and Fairtrade businesses? Concordia’s Holiday Market has got you covered, at home.
Organized by the Concordia Farmers Market, Concordia Food Coalition and the Fair Trade Steering Committee, this year’s event will take place virtually from Tuesday, December 1 to Thursday, December 3. While the event is free, registration is required to attend.
The perfect gift
Find gifts for family and friends from local and Fairtrade vendors and help encourage our local economy by gifting options that represent your values.
Gift someone a CSA (Community Share Agriculture) basket subscription and help support Quebec farmers. Or check out clothing made with fair-trade cotton and know that your gift was created by textile workers that are paid and treated fairly.
Be sure to set aside some time to also enjoy some activities hosted at the market:
Learn how to support food security in our communities during the holidays.
Make a snow globe with Concordia Zero Waste coordinator, Matt Leddy.
Follow a sustainability-focused cooking series.
Learn about the importance of Fairtrade.
