Recently, we have heard a lot about using scenario analysis in investment decision making, particularly in light of the climate risk that many investors face. Additionally, we are hearing a lot these days about company net-zero strategies. To address these gaps, the Sustainability Ecosystem at Concordia University, in collaboration with Ceres and Manulife Investment Management, are hosting a series of webinars on using scenario planning as a tool in the sustainable finance investment toolkit.
This learning lab series will take you on a journey to understanding the creation and application of Climate Scenario Analysis.
Climate Scenario Creation
Building upon the knowledge acquired during the previous two sessions on Climate Scenario Analysis, you will be invited to participate in a case study, analyzing and discussing a scenario analysis created by a multinational oil and gas company. Facilitated break-out groups will work together applying the concepts learned. Open floor discussion and industry an expert will offer insights and opinions on the case study. A preliminary reading will be provided to all attendees as we get closer to the event.
