The John Molson Executive Centre and the Bob and Raye Briscoe Centre in Business Ownership Studies of the John Molson School of Business are organizing a series of workshops called Buying Your Own Business led by Robert Nason.

The second workshop will take place on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Concordia’s John Molson building.

Missed the first session? Don't worry! While all three workshops act together to help you develop a well-rounded understanding of the business ownership process, they are all independent of one another.

Workshop 2 — February 4, 2020

PUTTING A PRICE TAG ON IT: The Art of Valuation of Private Businesses

What is the real value of the business you are about to buy or planning to sell? This workshop will equip you with the tools to assess the financial condition of a private owner-managed business by examining financial statements, scrutinizing assumptions, and forecasting future performance.

We will discuss benchmarking against comparable firms and selecting the appropriate valuation tool. The morning ends with a real life case simulating the buying-selling negotiations for a business. Don't miss this hands-on workshop, where you will gain firsthand experience putting a price tag on an owner managed small-medium enterprise.

Breakfast and lunch included.

We look forward to seeing you on February 4!

Register today. Seats are limited.
