Interested in studying Theatre at Concordia? Each of the Department of Theatre's three programs will offer activities in zoom rooms. They will be 45 minutes in duration, starting at 1:30pm, 2:30pm, and 3:30pm.

Mix, match, and sample from all one, two, or all three BFA Specializations: Acting for the Theatre, Design for the Theatre, and Performance Creation.

X-Dramaturgy Workshop

1:30 to 2:15pm With Professor Shauna Janssen. In this workshop you will learn about and engage with contemporary practices for storytelling and performance making.

Panel Discussion

2:30 to 3:15pm What skills do we teach in Performance Creation? Directing, Playwriting, Dramaturgy, and Collective Creation. Our students work on community-based and socially engaged projects using techniques like oral history, site-specific scenography, puppetry, and writing for the theatre. A discussion with Professors Shauna Janssen, Gene Gibbons and Jessica Carmichael.

Mini Creation Session

3:30 to 4:15pm With Professor Jessica Carmichael. Take an idea to actualization by engaging with thematic provocations to begin writing a play. This workshop gives prospective students a peek into some of the course work in play creation within the Performance Creation Specialization.
