Jazz Improvisation

The program will feature a repertoire appropriate and challenging for beginning students of jazz improvisation.  A varied program of Blues, American Popular Songs and Jazz Standards will demonstrate the progress of the classes to date.  A total of five groups will be featured.  Our hope is that the music will uplift the spirit of the audience, that it will bring a sense of relaxation and a sense of curiosity.  Finally, we hope that it will be educational for the audience and that the audience feels the love being projected through the music.

Presented jointly by class JPER 330 Jazz Improvisation I, teacher Baron Tymas and class JPER 430 Jazz Improvisation II, teacher Charles Ellison.
