Join Concordia Jazz Studies for a virtual masterclass with acclaimed saxophone master Charles McPherson on
Thursday October 29th, 7pm
Charles will speak about his life in music performing and recording with Charles Mingus, Barry Harris, Don Patterson, Pepper Adams, Art Farmer. He will also discuss his latest project "Dance Suites" which explores the exciting relationship between jazz and dance forms. As well, he will take questions from participants.
A Personal Note From Charles McPherson “2019 was a spectacular year for me. From a celebration of my work & 80 th Birthday at Lincoln Center, countless performances with many gifted, young musicians, to recording 16 of my new compositions written for ballet in December at Van Gelder Studio that will be released soon.. 2020: A jolting halt for all of us.
