WITH

Jad Orphée Chami is a Canadian-Lebanese composer, performer and multidisciplinary artist based in Paris that has notably worked on the original soundtrack of Antigone by Sophie Deraspe, chosen as Canada’s official selection for the 92nd Oscars. He has been nominated for the Prix Iris of the Gala Québec Cinéma of the best original score for his work on the film.

In this presentation of his research-creation's work in progress, he proposes a reflection on how oral history performance can establish dialogues between music and testimony and between testimony and self-narrative by seeking reconciliation through a shared memory of violence in Lebanon.

In order to accommodate social distancing, all ALLab events will be held online.
