Mastering the Writing Project: Strategies for students, academics and practitioners
with Dr. Diana L. Gustafson, Professor, Memorial University
Whether you are a young scholar, an established academic, or a community-based researcher, you know that writing well is key to the success of many of your projects. If you can write a clear and understandable message for a specific audience, you are more likely to get an A on your assignment, see your funding application succeed, your proposal accepted, or your manuscript published.
For many, the most difficult task is getting started; for others, its finding the right topic or gathering the most pertinent and reliable evidence. This workshop will help you master each of these important steps while also teaching efficient and effective strategies for structuring and presenting your information, understanding your audience, making the most persuasive arguments, and convincing your readers how important your project or idea really is.
This workshop is split over two days and participants can choose to attend just one day or both, depending on how much time they have. Click on "Workshop Outline and Reading List" for the breakdown of each day.
