The Conservative Party of Canada has come a long way since its founding in 2003. After 13 years in the political wilderness, the Canadian right has now held power for nine straight years and three consecutive elections. Seeking a fourth mandate is daunting for any political organization, and particularly challenging in the context of economic setbacks, ethics scandals, and domestic and international terrorist attacks.

Can the Tories pull off another victory, and if so, how? What issues should they champion, and which should they avoid? How can they shore up prospects in the different regions of Canada? And how big a factor is leadership – theirs, and that of the other two main parties? The workshop will explore these and other questions from a strategic, tactical, and communications point of view. Debate is encouraged and fireworks welcome!
