Join us this fall on a cycling/walking tour using the Wastescapes APP.  Tours will be hosted by Liz Miller (Communication Studies) and MJ Thompson (Art Education) in collaboration with Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling and Loyola Sustainability Research Center. We will share the backstory and visit a few sites. Before each tour you will want to download the Wastescapes App on your Iphone or Android.

This particular tour explores Parc Frédéric-Back, a former dump and quarry that has been transformed into a park. The Park, named after the Québécois film animator and environmentalist, is a compelling example of a large-scale reclamation. Each location in the park tells a story about the past, and about efforts to remedy the damage done.

Meet up: “Anamnese” on App /Coordinates, 45.564104, -73.623671

The sculpture is near the benches at the highest site in the park, center east.
