The Department of Communication Studies proudly invites you to a very special distinguished alumnus event with Maziar Bahari (BA 93).
Bahari has been an award-winning journalist and Newsweek correspondent in Iran for more than a decade. He is also a documentarian whose films include Football, Iranian Style; Mohammad and the Matchmaker; and Targets: Reporters in Iraq.
Bahari is the bestselling author of Then They Came for Me: A Family's Story of Love, Captivity, and Survival, a moving memoir of his time in an Iranian prison. The adaptation of this book was Jon Stewart's directorial debut, Rosewater, with Gael García Bernal playing Bahari.
Bahari will be in conversation with Elizabeth Miller, professor in the Department of Communication Studies.
