We are living in times where collective trauma and tragedies abound. How do we stay grounded and continue to thrive in these times?

This overview workshop is for leaders and practitioners of change and transformation in highly complex and ongoing contexts of trauma. In the era of our COVID-19 pandemic and social justice movements, this is essentially all of us. We are navigating Grey Zone Change, the space in-between systems – between the from and to of transformational change- that is undefined and unknowable. In these contexts, collective/organizational trauma is the experience of reduced emotional, mental and overall psychological functioning as a result of the ‘siesmic’ events of 2020 and 2021 that have deeply challenged our core fundamental beliefs of how we live and work. In the Resonance and Narrative workshop, participants are introduced to the Resonance Framework for Facilitating Transformational Change in highly Complex and Traumatic Contexts (see short sample of the framework here). This work is grounded in the principles and research of transformative learning, narrative & posttraumatic growth and the idea that transformation and thriving, not just stress, are realistic outcomes in trauma and posttrauma contexts.

By the end of the session, participants will have:

  1. Explored the impact of organizational/collective trauma.
  2. Experienced resonance stories and the power of creating alternative narratives.
  3. Been guided through the Resonance Transformation Framework.
  4. Shared insights and applications for using the framework and concepts introduced
