Elaine Fuchs, professor at Rockefeller University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, will present a seminar on her ground-breaking biological research of stem cells and their uses in medicine.

Fuchs is the recipient of the 2020 Canada Gairdner International Award. The seminar will begin with coverage of the field that is accessible to the layperson and then include results of experimental research at a level appropriate for students and faculty in the natural sciences.
