Join Fimo Mitchell as he leads us through a mindfulness session. Research has shown that mindfulness - paying attention to the present moment in an accepting, nonjudgmental way — is reliable method for reducing stress, improving attention and one's overall sense of well-being. Throughout the session participants will be guided through a series of basic mindfulness exercises with an individual and group focus.
About Fimo Mitchell
Fimo Mitchell is the founder of We Are Home, a meditation center located in Montreal where children, teenagers and adults can develop greater stillness and engagement with the present moment. The Concordia graduate first came across the contemplative practice during his first trip to India a decade ago. Since then, he has completed two mindfulness courses and a ten-day silent retreat to fortify his meditation practice. Fimo has launched meditation programs in two international schools and facilitated mindfulness workshops for teachers, students and parents in several cities in China, where he worked as an English teacher for 17 years.
